I struggled with the background, but truthfully added it after the foreground as I felt it needed depth. I think it looks a lot like an afterthought because that is what it is!

Then the gesture of the wings is awkward, they really should have been partly unfurled with the tips coming back across, but I couldnt manage that without covering the head or some other important part, so perhaps this angle was not the best for pegasi.

The foliage got tiresome after a bit and I have to admit that I half-assed it.

I do like the color scheme, the back view of the equine, the bottom of his hooves, and the fallen tree. I think the idea was good, but it could have been rendered more successfully.......

How is that for frank disclosure!??
